Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010Don't want to be promoting a particular retailer, given that we have a number of retailers on the forum, however anyone that has Tesco tokens lying around could do worse than avail of this deal. You should note however that the applicable fare is the standard fare which is higher than the special online fare (which includes a discount). I recently booked the ferry for a summer run, online fare say é360, tesco fare E428 however when you take the 4 for 1 deal into account, it represents excellent value. Not worth your while if you only have tokens circa E20, you would need E50 + to make it worthwhile. The ferry can be booked online but you must input a tesco code which changes the price!

Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010Ok, I got onto irishferries and got some prices based on 8 cars as per the interest here so far - NB, the dates are just suggestive.
this is from an email from Irishferries - Please find the details of your quotation below: Rosslare / Roscoff 20/05/10 @ 1600hrs Cherbourg / Rosslare 25/05/10 @ 1830hrs Car + driver: €198.00 Additional adults: €60.00 per person return The above prices include a free reserved seat per passenger, however upgrades to cabins are available for the following supplements: 2 Star 2 Bed Inner €59.00 each way 2 Star 2 Bed Window €79.00 each way 2 Star 4 Bed Inner €79.00 each way 2 Star 4 Bed Window €99.00 each way 3 Star 2 Bed Inner €79.00 each way 3 Star 2 Bed Window €99.00 each way 3 Star 4 Bed Inner €139.00 each way 3 Star 4 Bed Window €159.00 each way All cabins and upgrades are subject to availability at the time of booking. The prices are per cabin – so if two people opt to share the 2 Star 2 Bed Inner cabin, the cost would be €29.50 per person each way. Discounts would be available on this crossing providing that there is a minimum of 5 vehicles confirmed and paid for. The scale of the discounts would be as follows: 5 to 9 confirmed vehicles 5% off the above prices 10 or more confirmed vehicles 10% off the above prices Thoughts please?
Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010From what i've seen the track is pretty much closed from the end of February on wards. I'll dig up the time table again later.

Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010or keep watching Dave on sky for the never ending rotated replays of the Top Gear episodes with the Ring featured
see - http://nurburgring.org.uk/ also, see http://www.bridgetogantry.com and the offical ; http://www.nuerburgring.de/en.html good discussion about the Ring yesterday and there's 3 or 4 people here who are defo up for it (even Shena started to consider taking her Mammy! - no kiddin'). It's not going to be as expensive as ye may think and it'll be such an adventure. Also, consider doubling up as a passenger with someone and that'll cut costs - I've got my co-pilot sorted already!
Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010No, it was no joke and believe it or not she's up for it! Former driving instructor so you might have to handle some comments on your driving technique
I may not do the zipping around the track thing but I will defo be with you guys there and then onward to the Bro in Basel, CH before high tailing it home a couple of days after you lot! Stig, I know I'm going to be a pain here but I would want to come back on a different date, probably 3-4 days later, do you think that would effect my price? 1) Stig 2) Ivan 3) John V 4) Ritchie L 5) CashelMX5 6) Spideog 7) Bren '8) Shena and Mammy!! 9} (do it, you could be dead in 2011) 10) (g'wan!) 11) (DO IT) "I am not only a pacifist but a militant pacifist. Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010
Doubt it cos I can ask the contact in Irish Ferries to sort this - if they make it ackward, I'll reciprocate that ackwardness, let face it, they need the bookings! Robin also suggested doing a Cross UK trash to do the Chunnel - gonna look that that too this week.
Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010count me in
Re: Names for "The Ring" 2010
duely noted Tony! Checked the price there for the Chunnel - looking like £87 return, From the site - >> Drive on - drive off Boarding is simple and safe - you will be directed to your carriage by our friendly and trustworthy staff. Simply drive off at the end of the crossing. >> What to expect during your journey Passengers stay with their vehicle throughout the journey in bright, air-conditioned carriages. Sit back and relax, or get out and stretch your legs. The visual display screens offer information about your journey. Onboard staff will be happy to answer any questions. Whatever you choose to do, the 35 minute journey will be over much quicker than you think. If you need to stop for petrol or a quick break, there is a petrol station just as you leave both the UK and French terminals. It'd be a good way to go as there 3 departures per hour at peak times and rough sea's or the like does'nt need consideration.
