John, surely it's N4 the whole way, Lough Key is well signposted after Carrick, or have I missed something? Are you going early?

Shena , you're right. But if anyone feels unsure they can call me. I hope to go down early on Friday as I've arranged for time off work. Anyone else free from say midday Friday?

Sorry Richie, I meant anyone travelling from the Eastern part of the country around midday, maybe we can synchronise a number of pickup points and travel in convoy. Still plenty of time to organise ourselves for this. Anyone got suggestions??

Yeah, I want to try to convoy. I have to bring my 5 down from Belfast at lunchtime so will hopefully be on time to convoy. Just need a quick stop in Lucan before doing so, so perhaps somewhere on the N4 to regroup ?

Can I suggest we meet up in , say, Kilcock or Maynooth at an agreed time?. That would save me having to go near Dublin

2 weeks today FOLKS!

Should be a good un' :P

The Saturday route is pretty much put together taking in great suggestions we had here in this thread. Full details to follow!

Friday evening/night, we'll dine on site (gas/instant barbies) or order in! We can circle the wagons and have the craic.
Sat morning, we should leave at 10am, no later (this never happens tho does it...lol :eye: ).
The arranging for the meal out for the saturday night is being ably handled by Mr. J Leamy (you know him, the one with the pink car, yep, thats him)
Sunday morn I think should be a relaxed affair with more barbie brekkies, tyre kicks and then everyone head off home in their general direction.
Anyone got anything to add to this, please do.
Thanks already to all who suggested anything and have organised anything.

Have a great weekend.

O.

How long a drive is it nowadays to Lough Key. The last time I was there before all these new fangled roads I arrived late in the evening - had to put the tent up in the dark using car headlights - much to the annoyance of all the other campers
