The Moving Staird Restaurant, Boyle booked for 30 Pax incl. children on the Saturday night, 8p.m. and said I would confirm the number, on the day. For those concerned, I enquired if there might be any difficulty with children and the answer was "deffinately not". I put in a word, baring in mind the number booked, for a couple of bottles of wine and was told we "would be looked after". I also asked about the availability of taxi's and he said there would be no problem there. However, there won't be any music that night so I guess we'll have to do with the ukulele and The Deliverance band from Kildare. The owner was curious about the group and the type of cars and said he would put out the word to some car enthuiasts in the Boyle area.

As long as those "car enthusiasts" are not the "Boyle Boy Racers" mentioned in an earlier post Well done Tom and hopefully we'll get a full house. PM sent John

The man I spoke to sounded a little too respectable to have anything to do with boy racers. He wondered if we had a secure location for our cars. i told him the majority were camping out at Lough Key - hope it's safe.

Ah come on Ash, drive up after work on Friday night, you can bunk in with someone...I'll guarantee you a space, just bring your sleeping bag etc. The same applies to anyone else because I've managed to borrow a bloody huge tent!!

Ollie, I have to give you advance notice.....I'm gonna be bringing the transit for the kids' bikes etc, herself is following later with the 5.....you gonna be comfortable in the presence of a white van or are you over that hatred yet?? Thanks Sabik,
Updated Weather link here ;

It still looks ok!
Re; White Vans John, it was a Red van that creamed me, so I think I'm ok with white ones. Though if I'm found in the dead of night beating the shyte out of your van with a pick axe handle, don't blame me. But I have been assured by my theripst that I'll be ok!
A few things for all to note - *When checking into the campsite,Quote Mx5Ireland and park your car beside your tent as I have arranged. *No camp fires are allowed, but gas and instant bar-b-q's are AOK! *Please ensure you have a full tank of fuel for the Saturday morning, as you'll burn a nice wee bit on the saturday. * Before heading of, check your spare tyre is ok and inflated and you got a jack/brace. Check all the fluids in your car, check all your tyre pressures all round and just generally make sure all is good with your 5. *(ESP for the NEWBIES) Drive safely and maturely and keep your distance from the vehicle in front of you whilst in transit. We are not speed merchants, we are enthuasiasts and do open the taps where safeand legal, so keep up and enjoy what your car can offer! Swap Mobile no's with the lead car in front and the car at the back to keep in touch if you get lost. Have the sat nav on too so you can see where you are. Maps are good too *But most importantly, enjoy the run and the craic! Heres the sat nav co-ord's again (thanks to my olde mate Cloggy)
