M50/Naas Road Report effective 05:30 August 10th

Postby shenab » Sun, 10 Aug 2008 5:57 +0000

Guys

just thought I'd let you all know. Have just driven to the airport and back from home (Newcastle)

Naas Road is totally clear in both directions as far as Rathcoole.

M50 North Bound surface water around Lucan exits but nothing major.

M50 North Bound Finglas exit closed. Road is barely passable for cars.

Northbound carriage way completely closed around here and traffic is being diverted by guards to the flooded Southbound lanes to continue North. Water at least a foot deep but cars making it though the water in both directions. The water doesn't looks as if it's going anywhere!

Really not sure a 5 would make it through.

Old Airport road in Santry a lake

Not much info on AA Roadwatch so drive with care everywhere please. We don't want to loose any members!!

Thanks Shena

According to the news N3, M1 and parts of M50 still flooded. Lashing rain here again in Swords - considering going back to bed......zzzzzzzzzzzz
