i'm sure the calander layout would be dealt with by the selected printers. we would just have to supply cover page and montages or pics etc....

Ok, lets give it a whirl shure...

Do you have Adobe Indesign Steve? I've several templates I could throw together for this also...
Ash, could you send on a few low-res shots you reckon would be suitable, I've a library of pics here from past runs we could pull some out of too..

Ivan, are you serious about not printing calenders? If so, could you recommend someone who would be willing to sponsor a charity calendar for cost?

Hazel, a bank account might be handy for this.. do you think you could set one up and manage the funds?

Mx5 calander

Postby hazel » Sat, 25 Oct 2008 1:00 +0000

Hi all,

I have met a guy that owns a Fujifilm shop. Would I ask him about printing calander? How much he would do it for, how long it would take etc.

Bank account in what name? What funds, from who? Surely we have enough talent in the club to be footprint and Euro wise.

What about the front page with Mark 1. 2. 3. side by side?
Regards,
Hazel

Re Bank account, it was just an idea (more thinking out loud than anything else), I'll leave that end of things to you/whoever is gathering the $$ produced together.

No i dont print calenders.
Would it not be better off getting Mazda to pay for it?
After all it is advertising them.

yeah, its a good idea - but, I think it'd be better to focus on the iom bash synergy. Bringing this into the mix in discussions maybe muddy the waters? I dunno? Anyone else any thoughts?

I agree Ollie, sure lets see what the cost is! How many are we intending on getting done, is it for a bit of craic, or are we going to try and sell these from the site... Is there any charities out there involved in road safety we could get involved?

I guess 200 calendars is a good test bed, I've no problem backing it.. (am sure 20 of us could sell 10 each for 12e or so).

As its the first attempt.. I guess its a bit o' craic, that won't stop us from selling them on the site tho' ;-)

Re charity, Hazel, had you a particular charity in mind?

Right... heres how we can work it.

We need at least 20 people to make this easy.

Each order 20 calendars for 50e.

Sell the 20 @ 10e each & return 150e.
Rinse and repeat.

Will have 500 A5 Full colour calendars printed so no shortage.

Payments can be made via Paypal (PM me if you don't have it and we'll arrange something), a/c : srigley@gmail.com

Can those willing to participate please add their names to the list below & PM me the address for calendars to be sent to.

Don't think I've forgotten anything...
