This looks like it would be a good run ;-)

"Hi,

Steven McKnight here from your neighbours in the North. You may or may not know but we are hosting the MX-5 Spring Rally here in Northern Ireland in 2010. It is being held on Saturday 29th May (bank holiday weekend) at the Ulster Folk and transport Museum at Cultra http://www.uftm.org.uk/.

On behalf of the NI Club I would like to invite all of your members in the ROI to join us on the day. We are still at the early planning stages and there will be deals available with about 4 local Hotels for those wanting to stay over. We also hope to arrange camping or hostel type accommodation for those who are brave enough to go down this route.

We are expecting around 150 - 200 cars from the UK and were hoping to get as many of you from the South as possible to make this the largest gathering ever of MX-5 on this Island.

The plans so far are for the rally to be held on the Saturday 29 May, followed by a Gala Dinner that evening. The Gala Dinner will be a very special event which we are hoping to hold in the Actual Museum among the trains and exhibits etc. See http://www.uftm.org.uk/corporate_and_co ... enue_Hire/

There will be runs and events (possibly a track day or off-road event) organised on the following day, Sunday 30 May.

I would be grateful if you would be able to consider this in your calendar of events for 2010 and circulate to your members and let me know what interest there would be.

"
Interested? ;-)
Steve

Hey Ash,

Stick 'em in your (MX5Ireland) calendar ;-)

Sounds great - 2010, talk about planning ahead.

A friend attended an MR2 meet there years ago, and said it was a great outing. (Also a good excuse for me to visit me old stomping ground - a nice run over the Crainantlet hills an around the pennisula perhaps...?).
