I changed mine in may 2008 going to the ring the last time they are still on the car 20,000 miles later they will be going again. :)

;-)

Ah now, look after them, remember they only have small little MX5 brakes :mrgreen:

oh yeah and think about this while on the track.
The cost of going off
Optional extras available at additional cost include armco repairs, safety car attendance, vehicle recovery, track closure, hospital stays and helicopter rides. I recommend avoiding these. If you can't, then the following price-list may help:

* Base fee for attendance of armco truck: €150
* Removing damaged armco: €10/metre (x2 or x3 or x4 for multiple-height sections)
* Replacement armco: €31/metre (x2 or x3 for double/triple height)
* Removing damaged armco posts: €5.10 each
* Replacing armco post: €39 each
* Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people)
* Circuit closure: €1,350 per hour
* Recovery truck: €190 (inc VAT)
* Hospital stay & air ambulance: Let's just say, do NOT go there without travel insurance! (Though a European Health Card - which replaced the E111 - may cover the hospital bit.)

Everything except the recovery truck is then subject to 19% VAT.

from the top of me head for what we'd need -

After reading everyone's suggestions, may I recommended the following for your trip?

would be cheaper to do a single stage rally here for that kind of RISING money.

Thanks for all the contributions (even from those not coming :roll: :mrgreen: ).

Look back @ my post re; stuff to bring - I did'nt say everyone is to bring 10 FOOKING items, just 1 or 2, so we're covered. No extra expense, just forward thinking. Cos you know what will happen, someone will pop a belt and then it'll be if only we had to bring blah blah blah....... :roll:

anyways, I'm giving my 5 a MASSIVE mechanial going over prior to this trip.

Its getting cambelted,new seals, new waterpump,new belts,oil & filter change,new fuel filter,gearbox oil change, diff oil change,2 new tyres,new pads if down, tracked and aligned -

I suggest everyone does some of the above.
