Ok - I'm gonna get there someday - aiming for 2010 - I'll either have to get my wife back working or Credit Union watch out

Great stuff, a convoy of 5 mx5's and 1 porker already! What i'll do in the 1st of 2nd week of Jan is cost the whole thing up, ferries,accom,2 x tanks of fuel etc etc - won't be too bad Robin.....and it'll be mighty craic!

From memory boats last year 650euro fuel 390 euro 1200 kms to get there 27mpg hotel 4 nights 350 euro track 20 euro a run so 5 min 100euro + food.
boat and hotel prices could be a lot better at this stage

boat and hotel prices could be a lot better at this stage yeah,the ferries prices i got was a lot cheaper back then, think I got prices from LN lines off season etc etc.......

just did a quik net looky there - €356 return with irish ferries with 3* cabin for car and driver. Late April was the dates i threw in.

Yep - campings good for me - save on the shellecks - got to be a high standard in Germany too

Late April would be 4 or 5 degrees so wrap up if you are camping
