Ok guys. PJ asked me to do a bit of research so we have arranged the following:

Lunch booked for the Bridge House Hotel Tullamore for Sat 11th December. 4 Course Christmas lunch in the dining room for €19.95. Anyone that knows the Bridge House knows that the grub is excellent.

In terms of accommodation, the following are options:

Sea Dew Guest house (www.seadewguesthouse.com) is a purpose built 10 bedroom guest house in a residential area of Tullamore (about 20 meters from my house!). Excellent location, just 5 minute walk from centre of town. Secluded car parking. Mix of singles, twins and doubles. Rate is €45 Single B & B, €70 sharing B & B. Have vacancies for the 10th and 11th. Central Hotel Tullamore (www.centralhoteltullamore.com), Newly built hotel in the centre of town, formally Days Hotel. Beautiful modern hotel. Room Rates €89 twin/double & €70 single. These are special rates (organised via the Bridge House!) so come back to me if you want to stay there as it must be booked through the Bridge House. Parking could be an issue, however we will be able to sort something.

Clonamore House Hotel (www.clonamorehouse.com) is a boutique purpose built hotel on a secluded site approx 2 miles from the centre of Tullamore. Rates are €50 single B & B and €90 double/twin B & B. Contact the hotel direct @ 057 9323175

Bridge House Hotel (www.bridgehouse.com) is heavily booked for those nights (hence the referral to Central Hotel)

Tullamore Court Hotel (www.tullamorecourthotel.ie). They have availability for the 10th/11th. Rates as follows:

€95 single B & B.
€75 pps B & B.
€110 single B & B and 1 Dinner
€90 pps B & B and 1 Dinner
€175 single for 2 B & B and 1 dinner
€135 pps for 2 B & B and 1 dinner

Excellent hotel just 3 mins walk from centre of town. Excellent parking and leisure centre etc. Worth a look for those who want to make a relaxing weekend out of it. Contact 057 9346666

We will organize a run for Sat morning returning back to Tullamore for lunch at 2.00 pm

So, are we all agreed then - Tullamore?? I'd be up for that. Probably drive down early Saturday, do the run, the lunch and then carry on into the night but will have discuss with the social diarist to see what the reset of the gang are up to?

Just back on the forum after a long absence and having been encouraged by a fellow Killaloe based MX5 owner to enquire if the Xmas party is still on for here!!!!
