Charity Run

Postby virtualcolm » Fri, 15 Feb 2008 9:39 +0000

This is one that keeps cropping up but....

Last year a friend of mine organised a vintage run in Kildare followed by a big night out. They raised €19500 for the childrens hospital.

This year he's aiming higher. It'll take place towards the end of August, dates to be confirmed, and is being held in association with the Kildare vintage club. There'll be a run on Saturday (which will be filmed for DVD, and will include ariel shots from a helicopter). Then there will be a big night out out, and a static show on Sunday to give people a chance to get over the hangover. The static show will also include aitcraft from various flying clubs.

He would more than welcome MX-5's on the run.

Anybody interested?

Colm.

Sounds like a great idea - I'd definitely be interested in the vintage run (with a 10year old car !!)

Good to see you the other day - hope the family is well.

Hi Guys, (awful) long time since I was on here,,,,,......

I would love to attend the run if possible. I have returned from motoring obscurity and got myself a 1972 Alfa Romeo. This charity event willl be an ideal goal for me to have the car fully sorted out.

Hi John,

I am near Sallins.

You have just unwittingly volunteered yourself for manual labour should I need to lift out the angine on the Alfa.... :D

Howdi Brian, welcome (back?) to mx5ireland. You got any pics of the alfa?
Good idea to give yourself a goal to get it finished.
Hope to see you on a rub some day.
