Anti theft switchI want to fit a simple hidden switch to disable engine start.Anyone got an idea where to kill the ignition ?.Thanks for any advice
Re: Anti theft switchDoubt we can say much on a public forum, but anything that interrupts the ECU or fuel pump is good.
The ECU is under the toe-board in the passenger footwell, and there are lots of options there (ignition +ve, fuel-pump control, etc) If you're going to Ivan's tech-day we can look at it. It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world

Re: Anti theft switchJust earth the coil Richie..........one switch, one wire!!!!!!
The perfection of a Car's beauty is that nothing should be there for beauty's sake.
![]() Re: Anti theft switchDon't go earthing any wires near the ignition system until you are sure it won't
leave you looking for a new expensive coil pack. The first thing I was told by the mechanic at the main dealer where I bought my car was that a number of people had damaged their ignition systems while fitting diy alarms or immobilisers. He told me this because he knew of the amount of additions I had done to my Spitfire. You can't always treat modern systems like the simple designs of the 1970's
