Been asked a few times how to post pics up on the forum so heres a quick guide for you all.

First up you need to get yourself somewhere to host the pictures online
Like photobucket, sign up for a free account, log in and upload the pics from your computer.
Image

Next click on the img code under the picture you want to display
Image

Then in your topic reply right click and select paste, this will paste the img code into your post and when you add your reply the picture will be displayed.

If you want to use a pic from somewhere on line you will need to right click on the picture then select properties
Image

select the web address, right click on it and select copy
Image

Now back in your topic reply click on the img button, then after this right click and paste to insert the www address that you just copied. then click the img button again to close the image tags.

Any problems give me a shout
Ash

Thanks Ashley.

Now, how the hell do you post a reply. Quoting someone else's post or part of it :?

If you want to do a weekly tutorial that would be great

Now, how the hell does someone as simple as myself post a reply. Quoting someone else's clever point of view or part of it :?

Hit the quote button in the post you want to quote and add your reply. Delete what you don't want from it (don't be bold and change what they said though  )

Thanks for good info. When I've pasted url and again click img to close off (as instructed recently elsewhere here) it adds on more img tags and I suppose this doesn't matter but when I click Preview the picture do not show up in Preview just a repeat of the url, and so I am not inclined to post as I can't see a delete button either. Any advice please? Thanks, recent joiner.

Hi, welcome to the forum!

To solve the multiple img tag issue, click the img button first, then paste your url in the centre between the 2 tags that are generated.

Not sure on the photos not appearing in the preview, I'll check. But if you do go ahead and post straight away (skipping the preview option) , you can reedit your post if it doesn't look like you thought it would.

Here is the other guide :
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5157

Let me know if you have any other queries.
