I'm looking for the locations of the joint connectors for the ECU (JC-02 and JC-03) if anyone can tell me. I've seen various schematic wiring diagrams but I'm looking for information (pictures etc) regarding the actual physical location of these connectors. Its a MK1 1.6. Thanks in advance.

So basically you are looking for the earthing points.

It's for a 1.8 and LHD, but it could possibly help you:

1. JC-01, under the brake booster
2. interior passenger side behind the glove box, two places
3. appears to be on the firewall on the passenger side of engine, two places
4. JC-02, interior, under the the steering wheel towards drivers side
5. interior passenger side close to a pillar
6. fuel injection harness
7. passenger side instrument panel
8. driver side instrument panel
9. trunk near rear license plate
10. JC-03, rear harness, drivers side in rear tunnel?
