Lower stereo unit removal?

Postby satfan54 » Fri, 28 Aug 2009 6:17 +0000

Hi to all.
could someone please tell me how to remove the plastic box under the stereo. I have the stereo removed and can feel around the lower box but cannot detect whatever is holding it in position.
Thanks.

In a mk1, you have to dismantle the console and pop the eyeball vents, it's only screws and a little knack on the vents...assuming yours is a mk1. Dunno about mk2's :|

Not necessarily, I've been into my centre radio console many times, without ever having to pop the vents. The cubby box is screwed into place with 2 done headed Philips head copper coloured screwed (from memory), and can be accessed (albeit ackwardly) when you pull the centre conole out from the bottom.
