subaru for sale

Postby adamaca » Fri, 13 Feb 2009 6:17 +0000

Hi Lads
Im thinking of selling the scooby, think its time for a 5 ('')
Its a 1996 sti3 estate 96kklms.
Its just had a €2000 euro engine build, Brand new sti9 block crank and pistons and oil pump, it has also had a full service brand new tyres brand new nct t-belt done 5k ago.
I have reciepts for all of the above.
its totally standard (except for a dvd player and decent sound system) which means its 276bhp awd, with lsd front and back.
Its very practical and very very rapid, any regulars are welcome to have a drive.
It has 6 months tax too.
Im looking €6000 would also consider exchange for the right 5 or something interesting! Could be temped by an MR2.
Any ways any interest drop me a line 087-9143685.

Regards
Adam

Wish you'd put it up for sale at that price this time last year... will have to make do with the focus estate instead :?

Deal was done today! Im now the owner of an MR2 BEAMS. It has a yamaha tuned beams engine with 200 hp. early days yet but all seems well. Its a quick car although feels slow compared to the scooby!

Well done Adam!

I'm on my 2nd Mr2, The main thing is to get good tyres for the back and change the wheels back to the factory size. oh and get the aligment done.

You will end up backwards at some stage.

Yeah I know what you mean about the backwards bit!
Shes a bit of a handful in the wet! breaks away quite quickly, havent gone backwards yet but turn in on the brakes on a slimey road and she comes round all right! AFAIK shes got aftermarket shocks and springs so the front feels a little stiff especially on the power theres a bit of wheel patter. The rear tyres need to be changed too, shes got 195/55/15 on the front and 205/55/15 on the back, what are they supposed to be? do you know the alingment values? I actually know very little about mr2's so I have a whole list of questions if youve got time!
