Did you try Aviva, I have a contact in Aviva Portlaoise, I will give them a buzz in the morning if you want. I take it that this is your car. Don't know much about prices, but I would say you are a bit on the cheap side given the condition and history. Don't know what other think, but if I was in the market for an MX5 I would snap it up at that price. Paschal

Thanks Paschal, yes treid Aviva a few weeks back through a broker and it was way off. I had a figure in my head that I would pay for insurance and the cheapest quote I got was over twice it and it just doesn't make senes whem im paying a mortgage etc. My own fault for taking insurance for granted. I hope the price is good, im realistic and know buying new wheels was a rush of blood to the head and money I won't see back! Hpoing it sells soon as it sucks looking at it sitting there when I can't drive it. Anyone with interest call 086 8586417 at least I know calls here will be genuine ive told a few donedealers where to go over the last few days!

Thanks Hilly, I had been on to them allright. The prob is all I have is named driver experience in company cars and this was also broken with a year in Australia. Thanks for your help though. No luck in selling it I know its the wrong time of year but I can't believe the lack of interest!

on your softtop , there are 2 straps at the rear ( one on each side that run from the frame of the softtop to the rear support plates)
it looks like yours havent been refitted for some reason as the back window is sagging.
10 min job and will make the softtop look a bit better

Thanks for that, I was going through the owners book and there was a new roof fitted at some stage so that could be the reason. Ill look at that.

Thanks Hilly, its a disaster having to just look at it sitting there and not being able to drive it. I might put up some more pics at some stage to see if this stirs any interest.
