Hmm.. I'm looking for something like this but I'd prefer something a little less bulky.
I'm restoring an early Mk1 and would like a roll bar. I'm planning to cover it in leather (I know, I know..)
Do you think that the extended bars for the doors could be cut off? Any pictures of it in a car?

The door bars are bolted to the main bar, so you could leave them off.
Only have that pic unfortunately :

What would this roll-bar be like for someone who is tall, would their head be hitting off the bar? Currently if I sit properly in the seat of my mx5 the crown of my head is about 0.5 inch from the underside of my hardtop.

				That is tall

Probably not suitable as it might restrict your seat travel too much (2 inches or so) if you normally have it fully back. You are welcome to come along and place it in your car to test it.

I would really like this. Did you say it to your insurance? How hard is it to fit?

Hmm, I could do with more leg room, not less! The joys of being lanky! I think I may look at a custom set-up.
Sorry for the spam, good luck with sale, the cage is very well priced.

Yep, np problems with insurance company.
It's a bolt in so a drill is needed

A couple of good buddies would help too.

Apart from the one above, unfortunately no. It was
in this car previously, you can sort of make it out under the hardtop.
I'm 6ft
*edit - it seems its a carbing bar too from the description in the link
