Not too bad. I'd need a full set though. I'll be seeing him tomorrow and I'll ask if he's still interested.

I still have the car. No proper offers, so I store it.
Are the axle stands fine there? I have no experience...
Thanx

Not sure about the support position, under the outside jacking points or under the rear diff flat spot or middle of front subframe better idea .
Couple of people looking for 5s in the wanted and I'm new sections might be worth a pm
Best of luck with it

I have jacked or supported mine here if I can't put them by the jack points. I was told this was fine here because it is double skinned area and the strongest point of the rails but not anywhere else!

Tis fine, that's where I always put the stands. How you supposed to use the jacking point to jack the car up and then place the stand under exact same point? Boggles my mind

Is this your only car?

Reason I ask is cause I've three kids, number four on the way. Just turned 30 and keeping my 5. The wife drives an ould 7 seater bus, hence we've no need for a second big car. Drive my oldest to school in it every morning. So if you've one kid and two cars, the Miata can stay (unless the tax/insurance is prohibitive).

What I meant to say was to jack the car up on the rear using the flat portion of the diff and then support the car on the jacking points .
On the front use the middle of the subframe rail NOT THE ENGINE SUMP ! And then again support on the jacking points .
Hope this clears it up .

I was planning to send to Hungary, to fix it, cause here I tried a couple of places around Dublin, nobody wanted to do it. The crack is starting from the valve hole, that is the problem...
