Double diaghragm servo/master cyl

Postby MX5Spares » Thu, 03 Aug 2017 5:22 +0000

I have one of those double diaphragm servo and 15/16inch larger brake master cylinder set ups.Same as I have on my mk1.Merlot Man on here also has same set up.Improves braking greatly especially if fitted with Sport "big brake" set up.If fitting to mk1 the two front brake pipes ,from master cyl, have to be fitted with T piece as this set up only has 2 outlets on master cyl.Everything else fits as long as servo unit AND master cyl are fitted as pair.(thicker servo body and resulting cylinder)

I have this on my mk2 with the big brakes , the big brakes are an improvement over th standard but it's the double servo that's brings them to life ! I couldn't believe the improvement in braking performance over the standard master cylinder .
If you have the big brakes this is an ovious upgrade

Would love to fit something like this.. cause my brakes are just shite... alas I'm totally broke cause I had to replace my suspension. Will keep an eye on this thread though. Maybe Santa (de bollix) might bring me some big brakes :D
