Airbag connector

I have re-fitted the original steering wheel to my recently purchased mk2 1.8. However, some previous owner thought it would be a good idea to fit a steering wheel that would not accomodate an airbag, so after removing the original wheel they just cut the cable to the airbag beyond the connector block and just taped up the cable. The connector block on the airbag itself is intact, what I need is the connector from under the cowling.. charged-rs (Paul), you got one lying around with maybe an inch or two of cable attached?? I'll need this in order to submit the car for it's nct, otherwise the airbag warning light will just keep flashing. Should I follow any particular sequence when re-connecting so as to avoid activating the bag??

John

PS
Just been looking around on the net, confused now as to what I need to re-connect the airbag..can anyone advise?
