Why you need original?
Just get some half decent aftermarket one. Sony might be plug and play.
Stereo in mx5 is unneeded equipment. Like climate control lol .

I have the original Bose single DIN radio/cd from my 1999 Mk2 Jap import. Plus radio frequency converter...
Any use to you?
Fully working when I took it out
