My mk1 Eunos failed NCT yesterday due parking brake imbalance, effort 15% (less than 16% is a fail) and handbrake lever travel. Should be easy for mechanic to fix, hopefully.
I also need to change the rear side reflectors from red to amber (despite the car having been through at least 2 previous NCTs with the red ones!).
Would anyone have amber rear side bumper reflectors for a Mk1/Eunos to sell or......?
Thanks

Hi,
Most just cover the reflectors in black insulation tape or remove them altogether for an hour or two

Calipers + handbrake cable just need to adjusted by the sounds of it, not a big job.

Steve,
Thanks for the reply.
Would they pass it if they were now covered or removed, especially as it is highlighted on the report?

Covering them is fine as long as the reflector is not seen.but we have amber ones if you need them and possibly you need caliper as they give a lot of trouble ie seizing, etc.Robert Dublin 086 8226506

Thanks Robert.
I think I am sorted for amber reflectors, I know some one who has some and might not need them for duration.....
Calipers shouldn't be stuck as I had reconditioned calipers fitted only about 6 months ago.

I taped over my reflectors with duct tape and she passed no bother... got a bit worried when 3 testers took a close look when up on the ramp, but they were just admiring the stainless steel chassis rails I'd fitted... Phew..!. M.
