Hi guys. going to track a 99 mk2 1.8. I'm looking for a set of coilovers or info on where the best place to get them. Have been looking on ebay and have come across some cheap new sets but I'm thinkin cheap is going to be bad. The plan is to do suspension and some small engine modes but keep the car in good condition( not going to go cutting holes in the body to gain 2/10th of a second). Not really the best time to be doing this as finances are tight due to other commitments so need to try get as many parts secondhand. So, any info or parts will be much appreciated. Thanks..

Stay away from the cheap Ebay stuff. Send a PM to Robert in Swords as he may have some in stock. What springs are on your car right now ?

Have you considered getting struts and springs separately? If money is tight this is the way to go. As the guys above don't waist money on cheap stuff. I've got billies with lowering springs..would confidently do few laps. Robert from autocheck is very good to deal with..he might have something for you. Good luck.
