Considering a change of seat for my mk1 when doing trackdays... I'm getting too old for hanging on to the steering wheel for dear life while cornering..a harness would be handy too..anyone??

a foamectomy and a
CG Lock did a great job in mine, really no need for a bucket seat..

The CG Lock locks the bottom part of the belt, keeping you down in the seat and preventing your legs from moving.
I'd feel naked without one!
I'm Nico by the way Rob', the other Rhys

Bucket seat is better than foamectomy. I have tried both. A sparco sprint 5 bolts onto standard seat runners so you can swap it out if it too much hassle on the road. Saying that, my standard seat sat in the garage for a year before I made it into a seat for the kids playroom. The sparco's are cheap too, less than 200e new. Murrays have them so you can sit in one before you buy or just try mine next time you see me.

Finally invested in a sparco sprint and a 3 point harness...now to find the time to fit it. anyone able to tell me the bolt details ( thread and size ) for fitting the seat..don't want to damage threads with incorrect type?

I mean the bolts that fix to the side of the sparco. My plan is to attach two mounting brackets on a standard rail and then fix the seat onto the brackets , via the side mounting points..
