I think I've seen said car around before (I live near Summerhill). Looks like a clean car.

Fergal, rust is major issue with mk2/2.5 especially under front chassis legs.Put your hand down behind the rad area and have a good oul grope around but concentrate on bottom of chassis leg itself.Arches and sils after that.JDM or original Irish is best but NOT uk rot boxes

Are northern Ireland ones going to be as rusty as UK ones or better? Few nice ones up there.
How big a job is it to get new metal welded in?

I can confirm what Robert is saying , I've saw a few N.I. cars in Donegal and they are complete rot boxes especially the 2.5s
The jap or irish cars are you only choice and remember the irish reged cars could have come from N.i. or England your best to avoid these , ask me how I know !
Best of luck with it

spoke to the insurance company and it was a definite no jap imports statement from them, limiting my options.

What are mk3s like? May have to go that way.

Do they not only do classics?

My renewal isn't up until November so was hoping to switch over and let herself get insured on the daily.
