Ring and pinion

Looking for a 4.3 or higher ratio ring and pinion. I know they are rare but you never know what people have hiding

4.3 very common and available in nearly all MK2 1.8 MX-5's. The only other ratios available on the MK2 1.8's are 3.9 for the JDM spec VS or RS and 3.6 for UKDM MK2.5 S-VT

Hi if they are standard on mk2 we have some.Thought they were 4.1 normally? Is 4.3 not early mk1. 1.6 ?(smaller diff)

Yes, The Mk1 1.6 was 4.3 (but different size). The Mk1 (NA8C) 1.8 is 4.1 and the standard Mk2 (NB8C) is 4.3

I didnt know about the mk2s being 4.3. Rang kia today as the older sportage has a mazda diff in it and is a 4.7 ratio. €350 plus vat for the ring and pinion which i didnt think was to bad

Yep, 4.625.. Not a bad price for new parts. I paid €270 delivered for a second hand set last year..

Nice id say i will go with it. The storeman in kia was not 1 bit nice do he couldnt understand how i got the part number and kept asking for a reg.
