URGENT: MX-5 CL RC5+ Brake Pads wanted in a hurry

Postby Piers14 » Thu, 12 May 2016 12:04 +0000

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have a front set of RC5 pads for a 1.8 MX5 (Mk1 or Mk2) that they want to part with? New or part used and if required I can trade in a set of RC6 pads that are just bedded in..

I assume you tried Murray Motorsports, they normally stock them.

Thanks Seanie, Murrays are out of stock at the moment. Anyway, I survived without them this weekend. Have them on order elsewhere..

I thought that might be the situation.. Do you think there worth the money for a track car with standard 1.6 engine.? Quoted €180+ for a set of front pads in Murrys...

Definitely for a track car, they are a brilliant pad. The RC6's are much better on track than the RC5+'s, but a little too aggressive for a road car.
