5 speed gear box
Posted: Mon, 10 Oct 2016 10:17 +0000Looking to go from 6 to 5 speed in my Targa Rally MX, as I want longer 1st/2nd gearing. Need a perfect tight 5 speed with perfect syncos etc. WHY? Peter 0.8.6. 2.5.5.3.2.0.1.

Posted: Wed, 26 Oct 2016 6:20 +0000How did you get one with this? I thought the 6 speed gearbox was the one to have for lanes. Have even heard of boys running a shorter ratio diff with a 6 speed box to shorten 1st/2nd gear even more. 5 speed seems to be too long geared unless you've plenty of power (for lanes anyway)?
