Well it is, i've stripped the engine down this far and found nothing wrong apart from the clutch disc and a breather pipe. It will cost me 50 euro for a few rubber seals
and the price of the clutch disc putting it back together. I've saved money would have cost me way more in labour just to do the clutch.

Not bad from a 10 year car with 120,000miles on it.
And in the time i had it (30,000 miles) i've only had to service it twice myself
and it's done 2 trackdays one at the ring and not taking it too handy on the autoban and one in rockingham.

I think it's pretty amazing.

i've taken it apart for many reasons mainly because i want to learn more about the
car and engine. It's so easy to work on.

All credit to you Ivan.
I wonder how many members of the Porsche club, a-la that infamous group photo, would be prepared to,or indeed be capable of, removing the engine as you did?
I can just see that "Auld Wan" or the guy with the RAF moustache up to their elbows in engine oil.....NOT.
That said, it's a job I've never done meself and hope the need never arises but who knows???
Anyhow, putting it all back together should be fun
