Re: The Winter ProjectGeez Ivan, a smashing job. Hope it drives as well as it looks when you put it all back together again. Wish I had your confidence to get stuck into a task like this.
Re: The Winter ProjectWe'll got the RMS and IMS seal done
and the flywheel back on And new clutch Did all the seals atthe front of the engine too the water and oil pumps
Re: The Winter ProjectSo,. Just another rainy Saturday in Co. Meath then???

Re: The Winter Project

Re: The Winter ProjectFair play Ivan. You're goin well at it
Re: The Winter Projectwell at it again, got it mostly together now, loom in etc.... Just wiating for the injectors to
come back from being cleaned and the front engine mount which i would have had now only belgard went wallop. It's a big lump now, getting a lend of a hoist to put it back in.
Re: The Winter ProjectAhhhhhhhhhh! but will it work - that is the question?
Re: The Winter Projectwill the table hold? thats a bigger question............

Re: The Winter ProjectThe table did hold.
and it's back in, just have to connect everything up now. Electrics, cooling, fuel, gear linkage etc
Re: The Winter ProjectNice work Ivan - you could set up as an indy boxa specialist now seeing Belgard are brown bread.
Re: The Winter ProjectI was thinking that myself....
just need to find Pentosin power steering fuild CHF11S Think all the german cars use it.....i'll have to go to VW and ask them
Re: The Winter ProjectNice one Ivan. All spick and span. Did you lose much off your fingers getting it back in?
Re: The Winter ProjectNo to be Honest, just put engine and gearbox on the jack
wheeled it under the car, jacked it up and bolted it on. Petrol leaking on to my face was the only thing, but it tastes nice. I am amazed at how easy it all was from the start i have a limited tool box but i didn't have to buy any extra special tools. Although i did borrow an engine hoist.
Re: The Winter ProjectWell done lad, be sure to spray everything with Fospro especially the Deutsch connections on the loom. WD40 may be ok, i dont know but FOSPRO is the job.
