Geez Ivan, a smashing job. Hope it drives as well as it looks when you put it all back together again. Wish I had your confidence to get stuck into a task like this.

We'll got the RMS and IMS seal done

Did all the seals atthe front of the engine too
the water and oil pumps

well at it again, got it mostly together now, loom in etc.... Just wiating for the injectors to
come back from being cleaned and the front engine mount which i would have had now only belgard went wallop.

It's a big lump now, getting a lend of a hoist to put it back in.

The table did hold.
and it's back in, just have to connect everything up now. Electrics, cooling, fuel, gear linkage etc

just need to find Pentosin power steering fuild CHF11S

Think all the german cars use it.....i'll have to go to VW and ask them

No to be Honest, just put engine and gearbox on the jack
wheeled it under the car, jacked it up and bolted it on.
Petrol leaking on to my face was the only thing, but it tastes nice.
I am amazed at how easy it all was from the start
i have a limited tool box but i didn't have to buy any extra special tools.
Although i did borrow an engine hoist.

Well done lad, be sure to spray everything with Fospro especially the Deutsch connections on the loom. WD40 may be ok, i dont know but FOSPRO is the job.
