Sharing delivery from MX5-parts.co.uk?

Postby Amri » Wed, 24 Aug 2011 5:53 +0000

Hi there,

Since there is 10% off everything this month on mx5-parts, I'm going to buy this:

http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info. ... cts_id/345

If anyone else is buying anything let me know and we can perhaps share delivery costs? I'm in Dublin 14 - will get the stuff delivered to work in Dublin 2...

Thanks
Amri

Hi ,

Im thinking to get the same thing but I have 2 questions :
1) Could this kit be a reason to invalidate my insurance in case of an accident ?
2) Is there actually a noticeable improvement in performance or is just making it loud?

I've no clue about the insurance, bur I believe it will have an affect on acceleration. There are some good reviews on the site ...

makes no difference but will make it fruitier. Not worth the money if its power you crave.

as far as i know any mod to the engine can affect your insurance unless you declare it then it may cost you more

Hmmm interesting. Has anyone here bought a new filter? If this one is not recommended, what else would you suggest? Or is it not worth changing at all?

Thanks :?

Not worth it unless you plan on doing serious mods to the engine and then only at over 6500 rpm. It will sound nicer(louder) and if thats what you want then go for it.
