Morning all.
Well I took the plunge this morning and bought a metallic green 00 MK2.5 its so different to my MK1 !! I felt very guilty leaving it in the yard to go and collect the new one. Will have to sneak it in tonight so it doesn't flip it's lights and sulk !!!

Nice photos, they show what mine would look like with spoilers and side skirts and a change of roof colour. Is that the origional roof, as my 99 green car was only available with black roof.
By the way that is actually a mk 2 the 2.5 has different headlights and a few other changes and they were not made as early as the year 2000.

I'd be painting that mini IRG ( Sorry..BRG) to complete the hat-trick!!!

Thanks for the nice comments, As for my son changing the colour of his Mini Ain't gonna happen and we're in negotiations as to whether he will now get my MK1.

It goes like stink !!! Although I have to say I do miss the gravelly throat of my MK1 !!

Any conditions attached to my son getting the Mk1 ???

I have to have a spin in the old girl sometimes !!

Just to clarify what the 2.5 is ...............

"Updates started to appear in early 2000 when the MX5 received its first round of revisions, ie the shark nose look.
The 1.8 ltr was boosted to 145bhp at 7,000 rpm thanks to the adoption of S/VT ( sequential valve timing ) and 6 speed transmision for the first time ever.

It also had uprated ABS stiffened suspension and a more rigid body shell. And there was an option of Bilstein dampers. which kept it ahead of the game.
Bearing in mind at that stage it was against the Toyota MR2 roadster and the competition MGTF."
