Hey rhysmate,

This be a pic of my Cooper Sport.. Great fun to drive.. huge difference between the mk1!! Been parked up a while, but took it for a spin out to anniniwa's house last week.. brought back memories..

Hate how easily these things rust though!

Thanks to MINI I started my journey with MX5! I was just about to buy one. Lovely jap import, 1995 in burgundy. That Mini was just amazing but
my fiancee said NO! So I had to find different toy car. ...obviously it was MX5. It wasnt easy to make her to buy one but was
much easier than with MINI. Anyway I'd love to have the real Mini some day.

i love minis too , i have a 1981 mini city i spent two years restoring it as a road car and it was mint then i'd an accident (someone walked out in front of me) and i didn't wanna drive it on the road anymore , so i stripped it out built a 1330 full race engine with an med crank lightened cooper s rods and acl race bearings , then i got a 310 degree cam , roller rockers and a med ported and polished big valve head . next i built a straight cut synchro box with lsd and straight cut drop gears (really cool whine off this ). i'm using a weber 45 carb and alloy manifold plus a 3-2-1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND MAGNAFLOW exhaust system . I've fully adjustable suspension with avo adj dampers , 4 pot KAD calipers with vented discs and minifin rear alloy drums . Have loads of other bits on this too like a full cage and sparco seat and harness's , was goin to go racing but lack of funds and time have it sitting in my folks garage . must put some pics of it up .

oh yeah i service at rallies for a friend of mine lloyd hutchinson who drives a 205bhp 81 mini with a kad 16 valve mini engine , he wins his class at almost every outing , by 3.5 mins at sligo rally and by 9.5 mins at kilkenny with atenth overall place .
Its a really awesome little car weighin 680kgs in full rally trim with a coilover suspension system developed by lloyd . it runs a motec m4 ecu that i fitted and made a bespoke loom for and was mapped by my old boss in trackday performance

That sure sounds like a powerful little mini..would it take much to put it road-legal or would all those mods put it beyond NCT requirements?
