Drive4charity

Postby hoopsbhoy » Tue, 15 Jan 2013 1:43 +0000

Hi guys I hope this is ok to post. I am not one of the official organisers of the event but I have been involved with it for all bar one year since it started. We have raised €80,411.93 for Crumlin Children’s Hospital,
€15,423.75 for Suicide Awareness (Console & 1Life) to date.

It is something all of us involved are very proud to be part of. They are obviously very worthy causes. Not only that, but it is the best weekend of the year bar none. Registration will be opening shortly so I said I would throw it up here in case any of you may not have heard about it. Although spaces will no doubt be limited.

if nothing else it will plant a seed for when I coming looking for sponsorship :-) If you have any questions I am sure I can answer them or point you in the right direction.

Ya its a new website design so I guess it still to be updated.

Pretty much like cannonball. 3 days driving, 3 nights out along the way (4 if your adventurous). Dates and routes will be released in the next few weeks, usually end of this month.

It is indeed modded cars. rx7, 180sx, imprezas, literally all sorts, I think there was maybe one mx5 last year and mine will be on it this year. It starts in Limerick every year and where it finishes depends on the route. Last year minimum entry was €650. You get sponsor cards etc to raise money to make the minimum donation. That also covers the hotels for 3 nights also.

Guys I am running my nutritional analysis service in aid of this event for the next few weeks.

I am a reps registered personal trainer with an honours degree in exercise and health.

The service is essentially an analysis of your diet including specific tips around your own personal diet as well as some handy recipes. I normally charge €25 for it, but for the period of this I will be conducting it for €10 with ALL the money going to the charity.

If anyone has any interest please email me for the info : michael@nosweatfitness.eu
