Supercharger info

Postby 4ag-kp » Mon, 07 Oct 2013 8:10 +0000

Hey guys im thinking of getting an Eaton M45 sc for my mk2. I have an Omex 600 ecu but not sure if it will run a sc i presume it will working off a map sensor.
Still unsure on a few things like injectors what are lads using. Also found this so sent them an email http://www.trlanefabs.co.uk/SUPERCHARGER-PARTS.html

wow, impressive looking ECU! Anti-lag + Traction control, nice. Yep it looks like a map sensor is an option.

Injectors.. depends what kind of power/boost you'll be aiming for?

I picked it up ages ago of some rally lad in Kerry i had intended to use it on a 20v toyota but i went for a bigger engine instead. What i have is a mk2 1.8 rs and waiting on an Eaton M45 from England. What would be safe power on these engines for a daily driver an some track time

this guy :
http://trackdogracing.com/info/dyno/99_M45_8PSI.pdf

Has this spec :
Car/System: '99 Miata M45 w/ TDR Intercooler
Max. Power: 196.46 RWHP
Max Torque: 173.00 LB/ft

Stock M45 supercharger with TDR Intercooler
JR PowerCard with Walbro fuel pump
150 mm Crank Overlay pulley and 62.5mm SC pulley, 8PSI
Stock motor with JRSC header
TDR Air Filter Kit
TDR Heat Shield
Goodwin Mid-pipe and Racing Beat muffler

and prob about 440cc injectors.

The engine is good for 250-ish but long term daily... I'd aim for 225-max

Cheers Andrew i will have a look for that. Some figures for a 1.6 fair play to ya. Are you using that as a daily driver.

No, it's road legal but it's become more track focused. I might be able to help you mapping it if your near leixlip. Have you put the ecu in yet
