Cat laws Ireland

Postby Fla » Tue, 06 May 2014 1:51 +0000

Heya

One of the first jobs I did to my 92 was rip the cat. The bypass pipe gave the car a lovely grunt and an extra horse or two. Now I'm looking at getting a slightly younger five. I was always under the impression that the cat was required from 94 on is this right or wrong. Also if I buy a 94 am I stuck with the cat? I know you can swap it out for the test but I prefer the idea of doing it once and leaving it!

Worth investigating this if your looking for a 94 for the 1.8 engine.
