Throttle Bodies??

Postby ChocMiata » Mon, 15 Dec 2014 5:16 +0000

hey guys,

maybe i'm mad but someone got me thinking about the idea of taking the current standard air intake out of my mk1 and throwing it in a bin and putting in its place 4 big trumpet throttle bodies.

i like the idea but does anyone have any advice or have done it already?
how much does it roughly cost for the parts?
where do i get them etc???

i know it will sound bad ass if its done but what kinda response will be there at your right foot??

any advice is much appreciated.

thanks.

Throttle bodies here;

You're also going to need an ecu, some variation of a megasquirt. Not to mention the other things, there's always more things!

A whole sub forum dedicated to ITB goodness! make sure to go to the bottom and select the option to view all posts, it defaults to the last 30 days.

As for money, about the same as a turbo or supercharger.

Save your money and stick on a Turbo.
