Hi all. Thrilled to say my baby's got a hard-top....! Got it fitted at the weekend, and thanks to everyone here for their advice, I'm already enjoying it enormously. (Getting out to work at 7am - it really makes a difference)!
The lid cost €650, and I spent €150 on getting it sprayed red. (from black). I've read people here getting them a bit cheaper than that, but I just didn't come across any of those bargains, and this has a heated rear window too, so I'm happy with my lot. I also got a dent in the wing that had been bugging me sorted out. And the roof's so red, it kind of brings the rest of the colour up too, so the whole car seems to pulse. Bliss.
I'll post photos as soon as possible, but I'm having a bit of an email issue at the mo. When I get sorted, I'll post to that new stream that you've all been giving a workout....!
Following (ICE) advice from the forum, I've also taken the leap and changed to an iPhone, which is why I've got an email problem (work server is objecting); but as soon as I figure out how to get it to work with my brand new car-stereo, I should have some great sounds lifting said roof...!

The pic is tiny, but it looks great. Did you get the one with the black felt lining ?
Mine was starting to droop (the lining, that is) so I removed it and am going to plaster some Dynamat Xtreme in, and then re-felt it.

Most ICE suppliers would do it, or something similar. Or on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0384124030But note that Dynamat is a premium name, you can no doubt find something as good for less money. Albeit without the cool stickers and the Chip Foose recommendations. Then just spray-glue some black felt material on top of that, and you're done.

Congrats Teena...looking good! John, my hard top is fibre glass and didn't come lined or with heated windscreen however I had it lined with a grey self adhesive material (used on planes) which makes it alot cosier. I will try and find out the name if interested or if they are thinking of throwing any out!! You'll see it at the Christmas lunch.

DaStig, behave! The hardtop is lined with a black foam-type material. Not felt, but feels good and compact. Very pleased with look and feel. Looking forward to Christmas lunch!
