Painting Calipers

Postby bren » Thu, 26 May 2011 12:16 +0000

I painted the Calipers on the car using Halfords red caliper brush on paint. I went for the brush on as it meant that the calipers didnt have to come off the car. Mask off / protect any hoses or leads etc. Using a mains drill with wire brush clean the caliper. Use sand paper to finish off. Use a brush to remove any dirt / dust remaining. Apply first coat and alloy to dry, approx 40mins. I gave mine 5 coats. Use gloves and cheap brushs as you wont be reusing these ones again. Its an easy job, takes a few hours and is cheap, paint is 15euro for 250ml but you will have lots left over. Well worth doing and mine turned out great.
