Well, thanks to Colm and Ivan (thanks again lads) my car is now looking absolutely splendid again with its new blue mohair roof (compliments of mx5parts.co.uk). It was a long day - so if anyone is planning to do it themselves I advise that you allow at least 6 hours to strip the old one and fit the new one. If you have a style bar fitted you will obviously need more time. There were some minor problems which I think we've sorted, putting parts back on the wrong way round - looking for a shop that sold the right size rivets on a Bank holiday Saturday - should have taken more photos when stripping the old one - anyways the car looks like new again, and fitted some clear side indicators as well to go with the white/alloy wheels - needs a good clean and polish now.

Next on the list is to change the diff oil and the fuel filter.
