Postby willie » Mon, 17 Sep 2018 5:48 +0000

My newly aquired 1990 Eunos has the original Wipac units fitted. One is rusty so im going to replace both.

Just wondering if anyone has fitted Cibie units ? Any Cibie spotlight I ever had was amazing so wondering if wotrh the money, about 100 squid for a pair.

The original units were sealed beams,I’ve replaced mine but not with Cibies,

Good light from them but the H4 bulbs that came with them were crap so they were replaced by a set of Osram H4s which I find good

I've tried many configurations/brands (including HIDs ;-) ), currently I have these lamps (which look similar to those Pops linked to) :

with Osram nightbreaker bulbs, great light off them, better than all previous I'd tried.

Thank you both, they both look good and half the price of Cibies ,

Another question, has anyone replaced the 65 /55 w regular bulbs with the 100/65 type bulbs and found they did not burn out either the dip switch or any wiring . I know its prob not legal and a relay is recommended, juts asking !!!!!!

100w might be a bit much for 28 year old wiring, as said above the osram H4 night breakers are hard to beat
