Heavy clutch

Postby jaffa20 » Sat, 18 Sep 2010 4:49 +0000

Hi guys,

Hope u can help.Have my mk2.5 a good few months now and the first thing i noticed was the heavy clutch and the high biting point. Car only has around 45 k miles on it so i thought it can't be the clutch going already. I also have a slight judder in first gear but i've managed to overcome that in how i drive.

The heavy clutch can be annoying in traffic though. Would changing the clutch make it much lighter and lower the biting point or is there much point with this? Just wondering really if the heavy clutch a common problem on the mx5. Don't want to go changing the clutch when it's not needed to be done at all.

Thanks!
