Wet Seat belts

Does anyone know how and where the water gets into the seat belt housing as the belts are soaking. Is there a link to the drain holes and seat belts? Or is there another source?

Hi Tomas,

Have you cleaned out the drain holes behind the seatbelt "towers"?

See this thread for pics :

Wet seat belt mystery finally resolved! Replaced the softop and found a broken tape cassette cover that sat on the drain hole. So even after clearing the drains from below the water was still filling up and wetting the seat belts! Dry seat belts at last!
