Tear in rear window!Help

Postby twail » Sun, 10 Jan 2010 6:33 +0000

As above, i'v got a tear across the bottom of my rear plastic screen, which is annoying as the rest of the roof is absolutely mint!

It looks like the screen can't be replace on its own either!

So my question is, what kind of options do I have, or is it limited to duct tape!

Thanks in advance!

Here's the window in question, I'l get a pic of the tear during the week.

Don't think the plastic welding would work on a flexible part like that!
A new roof might be on the cards so. I'l duct tape it up on the inside and put a sticker on the outside so its not visible. That'l do till I have the time and money!

I suppose I shouldn't be putting the roof down at 12 at night when its -5 out!!

Give Nolan Autocare a call. I've used him twice for soft top repair and then full soft top replacement. I'm pretty sure he does plastic windows for MX-5's.
