I've got a leak somewhere, its not very obvious, there is coolant leaking but I can't find it, without puting it up on a ramp or by jacking it it up. It's not from the housing, it seems to be in the front/centre of the engine.
Does anyone have a dgm of the coolant system?

check the 2 metal pipes coming out of the thermostat housing. They rust from the inside out if the coolant hasn't been looked after.

Definitely not the housing, it's not visible from the front on the engine bay, I'll have to get under the car to find out where it's coming from.

I had a problem like this before and it turned out to be the water pump.

Also check the hardpipe from water pump to the bottom rad hose connection. There is an o-ring in there that can be difficult to seat correctly

probably the waterpump but you should be able to see water at the bottom front of engine around cam belt bottom pulley. Also check oil level/and see if the oil is creamy ie signs of water mixing in ,possible head gasket issues.but most likely waterpump or the hoses as above. We have pipes/hoses if you need them.Robert.

Let's hope it's not the water pump or head gasket!!!

get the system pressure tested . A good garage can do it in no time.

If you look under the car and if the water is dripping from under the crank pulley chances are its the water pump as above. If its dripping from behind the power steering and air con pumps its the hard pipe part of the water system as above. If its coming from the back of the engine it could be the heater / aircon pipes. Have you checked the main water pipe ay the bottom of the rad. It's not to hard to change these parts except the o ring on the hard pipe. That can be a bi*ch.

No chance, I'm working on Friday morning also It's not taxed at the moment, hopefully I can get the jack and stands this weekend to have a proper look to see where the leak is coming from.

I got the car jacked up today, you can see from the pictures where the coolant is leaking, unfortunately it's no longer leaking out but pissing out at a very fast rate.

So do you reckon its the water pump? What parts do I need if I'm replacing the pump.
