Maybe it's just me but....
Looks like a huge ripple over the door and the tension is wrong behind the window where it curves around to the rear window as there are more ripples there, there's not suppose to be any ripples anywhere.
Wondering, were rivets and glue used on this hood when fitting ?
Maybe tis just the hood itself.

New roof looks great, it's something I'm going to invest in. Any ideas who might fit it for me?

Fantastic job Rob. Well done. Something that's a long way off on mine, but will have to face into it in a few years, good to see it can be done at home.

Dave,

Welcome to the club - a few of us here have replaced roofs in the last year - having obesrved Colm fitting mine and held the rivet gun, would'nt be confident enough to do it myself - but willing to give a hand.

Where in the country are you ?
A chap called Art from www.webcars.net used to fit them as well

Lovely job on the roof. Nice colour!

How long does it take to change one, are the new roofs less likely to split or do they all do it in time?

Oh and what colour might go with silver other than black?

In my view to change a roof you want to allow the best part of a day - some have been done in 3-4 hours, but if you encounter a prob, you might need some time to go to the pub and consider the situation.

I think most roofs have a life expectancy of about 7-10 years max - depending on wear and tear. There are a few suppliers around, but I bought this one from mx5parts.co.uk - a genuine Mazda one - other ones are available cheaper.

IMO the red looks good with silver, or the blue, but its a matter of personal taste - after all its you that will be looking at it for most of the time.

Hi Dave, I've fitted 3 so far.
I will be fitting a fourth whever the new roof arrives (special order) and I'll be putting a post up for a techday at my place. If you want we can do 2 roofs in 1 day. The 2nd will be flying on as you'll see what to do when we fit the first.
I think we set a new world record for a perfect fitted roof last sunday week at Hilly's. Takling away dinner time we removed the old and fitted the new mohair roof in approx. 2.5hrs and that was with some back-tracking due to high speed 'giddyness' and plenty of coffee.

Tks Robin, I kinda like the idea of the red...(Mayde an hour or two on photoshop!) and with my luck it might be the pub first so I can build the nerve to do it...
