My car has been in the garage for over a week.We have tried everything with it
1.replaced the coilpack
2.Changed the ecu (borrowed from Steve, thanks Steve)
3.Changed the CAS (again borrowed from Steve, thanks again)
4.Put fresh petrol in the thank
Cheeked fuses, relays switches every thing, buy we cant find anything to suggest why it wont start.Anybody any ideas?
Its a mk1 1.6 1990 with just over 100,000 on the clock, and its red in colour

Forgive me if it sounds obvious, have you checked timing, spark, plugs, leads, fuel injection?? are you firing at all???

Hi we've tried all that. There is no spark or fuel.We disconnected the ecu plugged it in again, and it fired up.I drove it for a bit and then it cut out and hasn't started since.

oh.. forgot to tell you, we got fuel pump going Jay when I went over ;-)
Will check the injectors tomorrow (altho I think we did listen for them popping)
fuel pump runs w/key on crank,
power at coil,
power in and out of ECU,
have tried a good ECU,
tried the CAS from my car,
cams are turning,
wiggled wires near rear of intake manifold,
wiggled key in ignition,
tried another coil,
Might see if we can source/try a different MAF, although if thats bad it stops fuel pump from running not spark,
Fuses + relays checked,

I think we need to start at the ignition key again with a multimeter, will pop into the garage tomorrow.
