front breaks locking up.

The question is in the titie... My front breaks are locking up... anyone any ideas what might cause this and an easy fix before I drop into garage.
I know its a wide question but worth a go.

i take it that it was wet?????? ours did the same till i put decent tyres on it.

not sure on that.... it was wet monday when i was driving but been out in wetter... the only thing wetting the roads around here at the min is my tears
My van's injector put in acting up as well! Grrrr

ah its prob just slippy after the dry spell.......practice cadence braking.Its better than abs

WTF is "cadence" braking?? Is that where you attempt to replicate the abs effect??

yeah only you have better control ie you can moderate the pressure on the pedal........prob loads on youtube.

Ah I now get what your talking about sideway... not that kinda locking up there not releacing fully when I take my foot off the breaks.

Thinking you might be right John... the left calipers is very tight... I have replaced the back calipiers only a while ago. But would I be better serviceing or picking up a s/h set (got luck the last time).
Anyone selling a set of front calipers for a mk2, or go for it and spent the money on the service parts...
