Theres a tappin noise coming from my engine wen started from cold for about 5 or 10 mins.than gos.anyone have any idea what this could b.

its the cam followers , she needs new oil sooner rather than later, then it will quieten down nicely!

Grand.i only did an oil an filter change today so thats good to know.thanks.i wont b in it now till temoro so my fingers are crossed.i though it might be big ends or something.thanks again

mine sometimes does the same if it rattles i turn the engine off and restart that usually cures that

That should sort it , best of luck ! last time i had the tapping sound i used a can of wynns engine flush before the oil change , and its totally quiet no matter what temp

Well.there was alot less tapping today.ill try that engine flush on the nxt oil change.just to b sure.thanks for all the help

good stuff , it might get even more quiet over the next few days as the crappy oil in the followers gets flushed out with driving
