High Pitched squeals ..

Postby aidanodr » Tue, 19 Feb 2013 7:29 +0000

Hi Guys,

I have a 2003 Mark II mx5 1.6 Nevada - 69578 Miles

Around September 2012 I got new pads all round. Then in November i got new timimg belt fitted plus two new Brake Discs at the front. Previously i had a prob with back left calipher "nearly" siezed but my mechanic rescued it.

In the last two weeks I am getting high pitched squeal noises especially, but not exclusively, at low gear and driving slow. The height of the pitch can vary between two "thin tones". Its like the sound one gets if one has something stuck between brake pad and disc. I think it is at the front but doesnt happen all the time. Sometimes comes about when turning ( I think left ).

Any ideas, sorry I cannot be more specific but might be if asked related Qs of things I am not thinking of.
